it's cold outside. cold. and i can see snow blanketing the mountains from where i'm sitting. when the southern california sun gets cool and bright, we break into our winter boxes and come up with handfuls of gems-- hats, scarves, gloves, all things we are glad of at this time of year.

in the next few days, i will be posting a host of new patterns and items that will be available for sale and order. christmas presents are my speciality, and i love working with people to come up with the perfect custom handcrafted gifts. make sure to check back at the end of the weekend for the new pictures and prices, and then get your orders in as soon as possible.

this year i will be offering mail service so that i can accept a greater volume of orders. if you would like your orders mailed to you at a home address, please mention it in your email. keep in mind that i will have to add the cost of shipping to any items you purchase, since i don't absorb postage costs into item prices.

Setting up this blog has shown me that my obsessive perfectionist tendencies are not only reserved for the realm of yarn texture and pattern selection. When presented with endless creative possibility, my mind is happily asphyxiated- overwhelmed with the sheer magnitude of options. I have considered forcing myself to work under time constraints to prevent the constant revision of my precursor preparations, so that I might actually begin what I have set out to do. In this case, that means I stop testing various shades of turquoise for the "link" text and actually begin posting pictures of my work. I also need to stop pondering the design of a 3-color scarf that has taken residence in my mind, and simply get to it. Perhaps impulsive crochet is my answer. Daring, no?
